Booking Hub was founded in Port Talbot following the closure of the town’s blast furnaces in 2024, at a time when one chapter of South Wales’ industrial story was coming to an end and new ones were beginning. For decades, Port Talbot has been shaped by major industry, engineering projects and people travelling from across the UK and overseas to work here. That created a first-hand understanding of something most booking platforms never see: finding somewhere suitable for people working away is rarely as simple as booking a hotel.

Booking Hub grew from that environment. Today, we help companies and organisations source accommodation across the UK, from hotels and serviced apartments to furnished houses near industrial sites, infrastructure projects, workplaces and harder-to-source locations. What started in Port Talbot is now being built to solve the same problem nationwide.

From engineering to property management. Then Booking Hub.

Booking Hub was founded by former engineer Dion Wright after 14 years working in heavy industry alongside contractors and project teams travelling from across the UK and overseas.


After moving into serviced accommodation and property management, Dion saw the same accommodation problem from the other side. Good properties were available, but companies were spending hours searching, comparing options and managing bookings themselves.

Accommodation for companies and organisations was already a well-established market when Booking Hub began. Consumer platforms had made booking fast, simple and transparent, while specialist B2B accommodation agencies understood more complex requirements and provided valuable sourcing and support. What we saw was an opportunity to bring the best parts of both together: the speed, simplicity and visibility of a modern booking platform, combined with the flexibility, knowledge and human support of a specialist accommodation team.
